LA is huge…4 million people live here so, making friends is not the easiest thing to do.
27-year-old Emmely Avila was tired of being lonely. So she took to TikTok to see if anyone else felt the way she did.
She posted “If you also live in Los Angeles and if you’re a little lonely and you want to meet friends or just meet people in general, let me know. I’ll put something together.”
157 people commented “YES” and ultimately 45 people showed up at the first meetup at Elysian Park! Where Rubi goes with her family every weekend!
And in March, she had her one-year “friendiversary” of her group Los Angeles Friends and over 200 people showed up this time!
It’s tough to make friends when your older… everyone just has faster moving lives and more responsibilities, so this group has been a huge game changer for many people that call LA their home!
