Blackpink & Selena Gomez Serve In Flirty Video For New Song 'Ice Cream'

After a handful of teasers, BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez unveiled their brand-new single, "Ice Cream," on Friday (August 28), alongside a sweets-filled music video to accompany the dance/pop track's release.

In the flirty video, which was directed by prominent K-pop director Seo Hyun Seung, the five-some get playful in a world of pastels, while serving choreography, stylish looks and, yes, plenty of ice cream. The new track, which clocks in at three-minutes, hears Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie sing entirely in English over peppy production provided by 24, Mr. Franks, Teddy Park and TBHits. The song strays a bit away from the collective's usual sonic formula, but it keeps their signature vocal stylings intact, where Gomez's contributions comes in as the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae. "Look so good, yeah, look so sweet (Hey)/ Lookin' good, enough to eat/ Coldest with the kiss, so he call me ice cream/ Catch me in the fridge, right where the ice be," the pop titan sings on the hook, before Jennie and Rosé finish up chorus duties.

"Throughout the music video we tried to have each look suit that entire set, and we especially focused on wearing bright colors that suit the overall vibe of the music and concept," the group told CNN Style via email. "We really wanted to portray that fun, bright, summer energy through our outfits, and we hope this message went through to our fans."

"Ice Cream" marks the second single off Blackpink: The Album after their comeback track, "How You Like that." Interestingly enough, the cut has even more star-studded backing as it was co-written by Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét. To coincide with the release of the new song, Gomez has teamed up with the ice cream brand Serendipity to drop her own flavor called Cookies & Cream Remix. The pink vanilla flavor is also featured in the flashy clip and available for purchase.
